[Photo: Raila Odinga/Facebook]The National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga paid a courtesy call on legendary footballer Joe Kadenge on Monday at his Mariakani estate house in Nairobi.Kadenge has been ailing for a while after being hospitalised in October, last year following a short sickness.During the visit, Raila lauded the former footballer for his contributions to the country."This afternoon I paid a courtesy call on legendary footballer Joe Kadenge, revered by many football fans young and old alike. For years we were captivated by his seemingly effortless skill and among his numerous achievements is the fact that he scored the first ever goal in the Kenya Premier League," said Raila.The Opposition leader further noted in the event NASA takes power, they will ensure sportsmen and women are given a decent send off. "As NASA, on assumption of power, we will put systems in place to ensure our sporting heroes are well catered for in retirement.Hongera shujaa Joe Kadenge we salute you," he added.
