Security officers had to be on high alert in Murang'a county as President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto toured the area on Wednesday after scuffles emerged between the independent and Jubilee candidates.

Just before the entry of the Head of State security officers had to restrain Gitugi Ward MCA Jackson Mutungi and Murang'a county senatorial aspirant Irungu Kang'ata who were at the fore front demanding the ejection of independent candidates on the presidential convoy.
