Physically challenged persons from Nyaribari Chache have lauded the government for donating wheelchairs, which have given facilitated their easy movement.

Led by Eucabeth Nyambeki, a 61yrs old granny, they said the government's generosity was long overdue and that it would significantly help them live a 'normal' life.

“I would like to thank the government for remembering us. It has been years of struggle but finally we have seen hope. This is a wonderful scheme that will change our lives drastically," she said.

"We also need to live a normal live and the government's action is long overdue. It is my hope that these donations will be done regularly," she added.

Youth leader Steve Arika also lauded the government's measures towards addressing the plight of physically challenged people in Kisii County.

“I categorically want to thank the Government for remembering our people who have been struggling for many years. Such initiatives should be done regularly ,“ Arika said.
