Business owners at Daraja Mbili market in Kisii now want the public health sector to take action against farmers grazing their pigs in the market.

They threatened to take action on their own hands. 

According to them, the animals were becoming a nuisance in the market. 

"We don't want this animals here because they are destroying everything. You cannot even leave your stall for a minute because they will destroy everything," said Cynthia Nyakerario, a business lady in the market. 

Daraja Mbili market has in the revent past hut newsheadlines for being disorganised and dirty. 

The traders say its the dirty market that was attracting the pigs to the market. 

Kisii County Executive for Heealth, Sarah Omache had earlier on sent a warning to all pig owners grazing at the farm to take away the animals.

"Its quite unfortunate that Kisii County adminstration cannot attend to such a serious concern," Victor Monyenye a bodaboda rider said.

Pigs are known to dominate areas with plenty of wastes and they pose danger to human healthy due to their poor hygiene.
