Eight governors from the North Rift are set to activate the North Rift Economic Bloc.
The governors are set to implement key joint projects valued at more than Sh300 billion.
Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago, who is the current chairman, will lead the process.
The counties are Baringo, Elgeyo Marakwet, Nandi, Samburu, Trans Nzoia, Turkana, Uasin Gishu and West Pokot.
“We will move to the next level and activate all the plans we had already put in place before the election,” Mandago said.
Agriculture, water, energy and infrastructure sectors are the projects spearheaded by the governors.
They have also resolved to back Turkana Governor Josphat Nanok to complete his term as CoG chairman.
