Dr Gikonyo in a meeting with Nakuru County Secretary Joseph Motari Thursday said that the hospital seeks to open a fully fledged and equipped branch in the county.

“We want to join hands with investors from Nakuru County and set up the hospital here so that we can offer quality services to the people of Nakuru,” she said.

Karen Hospital however has a satellite clinic in the county.

Dr Gikonyo is a renowned Pediatrician at the hospital.

Nakuru Kenya Association of Manufacturers, Nakuru Business Association, Nakuru Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nakuru Christian Professionals Association, The Bedi family are some of the investors who have been shortlisted by the hospital for advanced talks on the proposal.

Motari said that the county was ready to offer any kind of assistance in the drive to push for better and affordable health services for the people.

“This is a noble proposal and we are glad that you have decided that you want to put up a state-of-the-art facility here in Nakuru. We will support you in every step of the way,” Motari said.

Gikonyo further noted that building of an ultra modern facility in dispensation of health services was a good opportunity for investors to invest in the private sector.

She underscored that such an investment would grow the economy of the county especially in the health domain.
