Kakamega senator Bonny Khalwale has pleaded with his  Machakos counterpart Johnson Muthama to iron the issues he has with the Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka for the unity of the National Super Alliance (NASA).

Khalwale  on Tuesday said that NASA cannot afford to lose Muthama saying that the Machakos senator is much needed in the NASA camp ahead of August 8 polls.

The Kakamega senator asked Muthama to give dialogue a chance and iron out the differences with the party leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

He said that the differences pitting Muthama and Wiper party could spill into NASA and affect the alliance preparations for the August 8 election.

“I am urging my good friend Johnson Muthama to soften up and give dialogue a chance on key issues he has raised in the Wiper party,” he said as quoted by the Daily Nation.

Khalwale said that all NASA leaders must unite to send Jubilee government home in the August 8 polls. “We all need each other for a massive victory against Jubilee in August,” he added.

On Tuesday, Muthama ditched Wiper citing favoritism and discrimination in the Kalonzo Musyoka led party.

Muthama claimed that party officials imposed leaders on locals in the just concluded party primaries.

He  went on to claim that he will not contest for the senate seat if Governor Alfred Mutua and Wavinya Ndeti will be on the ballot for the governor seat in August.

The Machakos senator said that he can never work  with Ndeti and Mutua claiming that they are dishonest.

A section of wiper leaders have since urged  Muthama to reconsider his stand and remain in Wiper for NASA to win against Jubilee in the August 8 polls.

The leaders among them Makueni  senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior warns that Muthama's walk away could cost NASA Ukambani votes in the August 8 polls.

While ditching Kalonzo’s party, Muthama vowed to campaign for NASA presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga in the August polls.
