Former Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission boss PLO Lumumba has begun his mandate of serving Nairobians after being appointed by Governor Mike Sonko.
In a Facebook post, the governor said the former EACC boss would help him fix the problem of pending bills.
Sonko asked all those with any pending bills claims to move to the Lumumba-led committee for a hearing.
"In an effort to bring to finality to the problem of pending bills against the Nairobi City County Government, today, the gazetted 10-man committee on the Finalisation of Pending Bills and Audit under the chairmanship of the former Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Chairman PLO Lumumba is having a meeting to review and clear pending debts for goods supplied and services rendered to previous administrations, which amounts to Sh 60 billion," Sonko said.
"Suppliers and contractors with any pending bills claims against the county government to submit them to the committee for consideration," he added.
