Firebrand KNUT secretary-general is set to address a mammoth crowd of delegates today as the 60th annual conference kicks off in the coastal city of Mombasa.A faction within KNUT is planning to engineer Sossion's removal from his position so that he can focus on his responsibilities as a nominated ODM MP.The plot is being pushed by Jubilee loyalists within the teachers' union who contend that he is no longer representing the teachers effectively as he should.Wilson Sossion has maintained that he will not step down from his KNUT position and his MP position is meant to serve the interest of workers.''I serve the interests of workers but if the union feels that I have to go, I will have to leave.'' Sossion said according to the Daily Nation.
