Kiambu county governor William Kabogo has urged Kenyans to support the government in times of grief instead of blaming the head of state for failing to protect Kenyans in terms of security.

Kabogo said it is a national disaster and pointing fingers on individuals will not help Kenyans but instead tear the nation apart bearing in mind Kenya is greater than any person and its interest must come first.

The county boss who was speaking on Thursday in Thika township ward during a press conference said that terrorism is a global threat and an act of cowardice thus Kenyans should not be shaken in times of trials.

He advocated the public to support the government to the very end as it seeks to secure the county against such threats.

Kabogo appealed to his counterparts in different counties to work closely with the DCCs and police commanders to help the county fight against the terror attack that has send the country into a stand still.

He has expressed his condolence to the affected families who were killed ruthlessly by allegedly Al Shabaab Militia urging them to remain strong and never to be in despair.

This comes after more than 147 students were reported to be killed buy the terror attack in Garrisa university attack with more than 70 injured yesterday morning.

The governor has further called on residents to be on the lookout and asked the government to deploy more securities at the public institutions.

He recommended the parliament to debate on the issue of giving security guards guns to help maintain security at the institutions.
