Rarieda Member of Parliament Otiende Amollo has alluded to the assertion that the police have been partial in handling demonstrations in the country.

According to Amollo, the police have applied more force when dealing with the demonstrations held by opposition supporters as compared to the ruling regime's supporters.

In his assertion, demonstrations in Kiambu, Nairobi. Murang'a and other Jubilee strongholds after the Supreme Court ruling were not meted with the same force as compared to NASA supporters demonstrations after the August polls results announcement and in the ongoing anti-IEBC demos.

"There is differential treatment of people during demonstrations in the country. The opposition supporters have been treated with more force during their demonstrations as compared to Jubilee supporters. For example, look at what happened after the Supreme Court ruling when Jubilee supporters demonstrated and compare that to the ongoing NASA anti-IEBC demos," reiterated Amollo.

The legislator however absolved the NASA supporters from any claims of looting and destroying public property.

In his view, those destroying property and looting from other Kenyans are people who have funded in a bid to try and delegitimize the whole demonstrations.

"NASA supporters have been peaceful in their demonstrations so far. Those looting and destroying property are people who have been funded to try and delegitimize the anti-IEBC demonstrations," added Amollo.

He made the remarks on Tuesday on NTV's AmLive show.
