Police have arrested eleven people armed with crude weapons as they tried to gain entry into Uhuru Park.

Kilimani OCPD Peter Kattam confirmed the arrests of the men who were aboard a passenger Matatu heading to the grounds.

Security has been beefed up around the park as CORD supporters await the arrival of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and other opposition leaders.
