Twenty four South Sudan nationals were on Saturday arrested on Saturday when police stormed a wedding party in Kasarani, Nairobi.
According to Amos Ariik, a South Sudanese, the group was arrested for not obtaining a police permit for the function.
Confirming the news, Kasarani OCPD Robinson Mboloi said that they stumbled upon the party while on a random patrol.
"We checked and found that only 10 of them had no papers," said Mboloi.
Andrew Agok, a South Sudanese official, heaped blame on the youths, accusing them of gathering without police clearance.
"You all know our relationship with the Kenyan government is in excellent stages since their general head of UN peacekeepers was sacked from South Sudan,” Agok said.
"Our cooperation should continue. If you abuse the law, the law will have a solution for you," he added.
