Police in Soy constituency, Uasin Gishu County have arrested a 58-year-old man who allegedly slashed his 16-year-old son for taking his girlfriend to his house.
Soy OCPD Jared Omari said that the suspect, Jonathan Sigei, inflicted serious head injuries to his son using a panga.
The son, who is a Form Two day scholar student, is undergoing treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.
The girlfriend was also allegedly assaulted by the man, but was rescued by villagers and only suffered minor injuries.
The incident occurred on Saturday in Kablamai location. The accused fled the village but was arrested by police during a manhunt on Monday.
