A 33-year-old man has been arrested after he was caught sodomising a 11-year-old boy at midnight in Ngomano, Mwala sub-county.

The incident was confirmed by Yathui location chief Stephen Kiki. The suspect Mwanzia Nyamai was arrested by Nyumbakumi members in conjuction with the residents after he tried to escape after the boy's parents raised alarm.

The man is said to have tiptoed to his neighbours compound, entered the boys room where he committed the heinous act.

The boy is receiving treatment at Mwala level five hospital whereas the suspect is held at Yathui patrol base awaiting to appear in court.
