Police in Voi area of Taita-Taveta county have arrested a pastor for allegedly impregnating a 15-year-old school girl.
Earlier reports showed that the Anglican Church pastor had defiled the minor in February this year.
The girl's father, who exposed the affair, revealed that the Form Two daughter had served as a Sunday school teacher at their local church before the pastor manipulated her naivety.
“On that fateful day the pastor came home and found my daughter alone so he took advantage of her and defiled her at our farm,” explained the father.
“We noticed that that our daughter was expectant and after interrogations she said the pastor is responsible,” he said.
The matter was then reported to Voi education officers who offered help in nabbing the suspect.
“We are now at peace because the police have taken over the case so we know justice will be served,” the father added.
The said pastor will be arraigned in court Friday after investigations.
