Police offices on Friday arrested six terror suspects at Malindi in Kilifi County.
Officers from the Anti-Terror Unit said the six suspects, who are all members of the same family, were nabbed over alleged involvement in the planning and execution of various terrorist activities in the country.According to witnesses, over 30 officers in full police combat smashed windows and broke the main door of the residential house at Old Court area in Malindi.“They ransacked the whole house ordering us to stay seated and completely quiet, and because they were armed, we did exactly that,” said a witness, who is also a member of the family.Malindi OCPD Matawa Muchangi confirmed the arrest but declined to address journalists, saying he will make an offficial statement once investigations are complete.
