Kenyans on social media are now reprieved by the swift action of the police following the arrest of Calvin Mbane Alfayo alias Mohamed Alfayo who claimed to have had sex with a Standard 4 pupil and later posted their photos on Facebook.
According to the Star, the suspect was arrested Tuesday in Sotik and is currently in custody at the Sotik Police Station.
This comes barely hours after police intervened in the matter and promised that the suspect would be arrested.
"The paedophile who defiled the class four pupil is going to be arrested and charged," Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery said during a news briefing on Tuesday as quoted by the Star.
"Kenyans need to be wary of using abusive language on social media," added IG Joseph Boinnet.
