A Suspected fake certificate and other official documents dealer was today (Thursday) morning arrested by Police officers from Teachers Police Post from his hideouts in Makao Estate in Nakuru town.

Police officer in charge of the Police Post Mercy Musyoka that the suspect identified as Keneth Onsierio was arrested following a tip off from members of the public and several fake documents and counterfeit related documents manufacturing equipment was recovered.

Musyoka said that the suspect who has been residing in the area for the last one week was planning a fraud related crime in Nakuru.

According to the officer Musyoka, Police accompanied by the area’s Nyumba Kumi leaders raided a residential house in Makao Estate after receiving reports from members of the public and arrested him while in possession of an assortment of fake documents and equipment believed to be used to manufacture fake documents.

Things found included receipts, cheque books, several fake companies job Identification and business cards, stamps, brochures, school and colleges certificates and a sealing machine. Police also recovered several National identification and SIM cards from the suspect.

“We suspect that this man was planning to carry out a major fraud crime in Nakuru. We have launched investigations and he will remain in custody to help Police with investigations before being taken to Court,’’ said Musyoka.
