Police in Malindi have arrested a woman in possession of Ivory weighing about 1.5 kgs in a house at Ghaheleni village within Malindi town.
The woman was confronted by the locals who reported the matter to the police
The locals from Ghaheleni village, Malindi town have reported a woman to the police who possessed two Ivory weighing about 1.5kgs hidden in the ceiling of her house.

The authorities say the elephant which is suspected to have been 18 months might have been killed from tsavo east national park or arabuko forest.
The Ivory is said to be on transit to its market but investigations have been launched to unmask the perpetrators behind the poaching.
The incident comes just a week after the police took a man in custody with 52 kgs of game meat who was arraigned in court on Thursday.
Now concerns have increased over poaching activities in the area after the latest possession of ivory from the woman who is set to face trial today in court.
