The officer was talking in respect to the statement released by Kiambu Chairman of Nyumba Kumi initiative Joseph Kaguthi: said that the county government must also strive to collaborate with the initiative’s sympathizers to ensure the security all over the county while he visited the governor in his office today.

Chacha said that the county government has done very much in support of the security tools in the county.

He cited the newly launched Kimuchu police post which was constructed by the county government.

He said it would be very disappointing if the areas remained unsafe with all that commitment.

He went on to say that however the county government can facilitate the infrastructure to the security organs the area can remain insecure if the residents don’t cooperate with the police.

“The county can invest very much on building police stations and police houses but without the trust and cooperation of the residents, the security situation may never change. Am calling upon the locals to give us any information which will help us deal with the criminals in this area,” the officer challenged.

He further said that the area is currently calm and his officers are patrolling all over the region to ensure that security is enhanced.
