Juja town residents have been warned against idling around the town centre at night and during the day.
Speaking after a meeting with the Juja wards administrators and the sub-county security committee, area OCS Luke Odiwuor said that men idling during the day are likely to be the criminals who attack the area residents at night, incidences he said are on the rise in the area.
He said that he is sure that if security officers deal with the idlers, the problem will be no more. The officer added that he is working with the sub-county security officers and the community policing officials to ensure that anyone idling is arrested to account for their actions.
He added that he is on the forefront to enhance security in the area and urged the public to work hand in hand with the security team to ensure the suspected culprits are arrested.
He said that the plainclothes security officers are on the ground for the operation to make sure that those who cause problem for the area residents are brought to book.
On her side the sub-county administrator Mrs Jacinta Wawira she said that the county government has partnered with the officers to ensure patrols are enhanced in the area to secure the members of public against any form of criminal.
She lauded the chiefs and their assistants saying that they have done a great job on the grass roots as the criminal activities used to start in the grass roots upwards to the town centres which is a thing of the past.
