Police officers in Borabu have recorded major victory against cattle rustlers following substantial drop of banditry related cases.
Area OCPD Peter Mwasia said the drop in cattle theft in the region is due to the good cooperation between locals and police.
"Locals have been doing a good job reporting suspected cattle thieves to authorities. This has helped police officers to arrest the suspects.
"In the last two months cases of cattle theft has reduced and we expect zero cases in future,” he said.
The OCPD lauded police officers for intensifying security patrols day and night in areas prone to cattle theft across Nyamira County.
“Security officers have not slept this time round as early claimed by residents and local leaders. The officers have been working around the clock to end cattle rustling in Nyamira County,” he added.
