Kiambu County Police Commander James Mogera has vowed to hunt down criminals causing problems in the area.
Addressing journalists on Tuesday, the commander said police have put in place specific measures to tackle crime.
He said that security officers will hunt down criminals adding that they should surrender before the law catches up with them.
“We are identified areas believed to be dens of criminals and we are immediately going to act on them,” he emphasised.
The commander added that the police will not give criminals room to continue wrecking havoc.
He said the police will use all the available mechanisms to curb crime in the area and adjustened towns.
However, the commander asked the public to supply information that will see criminals apprehended and taken to court.
He said the public has a critical role to play when it comes to security noting that no one will be intimidate or victimised for giving information.
“I would want to encourage the public to feel free and share information that will help us in the fight against crime,” said Mogera.
