A police constable is being held at Diani police station for allegedly threatening to shoot civilians.
The officer, is reported to have threatened to snatch a gun from a colleague at the station, and attack civilians.
Hans Mwabuyu, who recently graduated from Kenya Police Training College in Kiganjo, is said to have been harassing members of the public, who nabbed him and took him to the station.
''Nyinyi mtashangaa. Nitachukua hizo bunduki niwapepete kuliko ile ya Kapenguria. Endeleeni kunichezea," he was quoted as having said in Kiswahili, as reported by The Star.
Confirming the incident, Coast regional police commander Francis Wanjohi condemned the act, adding that police have launched investigations into the matter.
