Police in Nakuru have declared war on illicit brew and distribution of drugs.

Area police commander Samuel Obara noted that drug abuse, particularly among the young people was on the rise, warning brewers and peddlers of stern action.

"We shall not allow distribution of illicit brew that continues to claim lives of youths," he said on Friday.

The police boss identified Langas, London, Pipeline among other areas as the most notorious crime hotspots.

Obara said police officers will work together with chiefs and their assistants to eradicate drugs menace in the region.

"I am also appealing to the public to volunteer information on criminal activities and collaborate with the police to help curb crime and drugs abuse," he added. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Nakuru that you want Hivisasa to cover?
