The Kenya Police have denied reports linking them to alleged bombing of former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna.
On Friday, Miguna was arrested at his Karen home and the lawyer claimed that his house had been bombed before the police arrested him.
However on Friday, the police sent out a tweet through their official Twitter handle and termed the reports linking the police to the 'bombing' of the house as allegations that are preposterous and misleading.
"The remarks circulating on sections of Social Media attributed to Nairobi County Commander on the alleged grenade attack of a VIP’s residence are preposterous and misleading. We urge members of the public to treat them as such," read the tweet.
Miguna was arrested after he participated in the controversial 'oath' taking event at Uhuru Park on January 30.
In the event, National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga was sworn-in as the people's president after numerous calls for dialogue between NASA and Jubilee failed to materialize.
Miguna becomes the second NASA leader to be arrested after Ruaraka legislator TJ Kajwang' who has also been charged for participating in the event.
