The Opposition NASA coalition has issued fresh demands to IEBC and called for a report on the qualification and working history of officers recently recruited to oversee the general election.
ODM deputy party leader and Mombasa governor Hassan Joho, Homa Bay Women Representative Gladys Wanga and Homa Bay Senator Moses Kajwang' last Sunday claimed that IEBC has recruited police officers as returning officers so as to help Jubilee rig the election.
“We are getting reports that police officers are being recruited as poll officials to help the Jubilee government rig the election,” said Joho.
Joho’s accusations came in the wake of strong criticism against IEBC by the Opposition over audit of the voter register.
