The demonstrators who were brushing through the streets with the Take Back Kenya slogan condemned alleged corruption by the Jubilee government.

This came at a time President Uhuru Kenyatta was leading the official Jamhuri Day celebrations at the Nyayo National Stadium.

However, the protesters were dispersed away the Tom Mboya statue along Moi Avenue before they reconvened at Jeevanjee Gardens and attempted another demo along the same Moi Avenue.

Some of the protesters were arrested and will be arraigned over causing public unrest and disorder.
