A 17-year-old girl linked to the murder of IEBC ICT official Chris Msando has been released by the police unconditionally.
According to reports, the girl was released on August 30 after police failed to link her to the death of Msando.
The girl was under a week long detainment following her arrest in Awendo, Migori County and later brought to Nairobi.
“She was released last Wednesday unconditionally and she in now at home in Migori. There was no evidence linking her at all. In fact, I am thinking of suing the State for torturing her emotionally,” said her brother Daniel Otieno as quoted by The Standard.
Otieno claims his sister was arrested after calling Msando’s number mistakenly. He says Msando then sent her Sh10 via M-Pesa to identify the number,
