The National Police Service, has dismissed media reports that, several police officers have been sent to Nyanza and Western Kenya regions, ahead of the October 26th fresh presidential elections.
A video doing rounds on social media, saw 15 trucks, filled with police officers, being ferried to a certain destination.
Reports indicated that the officers were being ferried two the two NASA support bases, to harass supporters of the opposition, or vote in support of the ruling Jubilee government.
However, National Police dismissed the allegations, through the below statement.
"We wish to state facts and clarify the allegations that GSU officers are being sent to Nyanza to vote are dangerous lies aimed at causing disaffection and ill will towards the Police.
The trucks seen are those of recruits going for field training in Kajiado.
