Sharon Achieng, 24, has been missing for the past seven days.

The second-year student was residing in Kiti Estate, Nakuru County.

County Police Commander Hassan Barua said police are waiting for post-mortem results to ascertain the cause of death.

“On Wednesday, another neighbour said there was a pungent smell emanating from the house. More neighbours complained of the same smell,” Rebecca Wanjiku, a neighbour, told the Nation.

They then decided to call the police to the house on Friday.

Police officers broke down the door and found her lifeless body on bed, with blood on her bedding and the floor.

The deceased, according to her brother, was epileptic.

“Knowing her condition, we always made sure to talk to her every day and visit her at least every month to make sure she is okay,” said Kevin Ochieng’.
