Kilifi Women Representative Aisha Jumwa on Tuesday appeared before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Malindi for questioning over claims she had threatened to kill her former supporter.
Malindi DCIO Anthony Sunguti said the MP recorded a statement after being grilled for an hour, the Standard has reported.Sunguti said Jumwa was summoned to the station after the complainant, Ezra Bidii, filed a report claiming she threatened to kill him after they fell out.Sunguti added that they have also launched investigations into the matter.Jumwa, has, however, denied the allegations and challenged Bidii to provide proof to back up his claims."People have individual rights to support whoever they want in politics and by leaving my camp it doesn't mean that I must kill them to make it in politics," the MP said.
