Police in Naivasha have gunned down three suspected robbers and recovered a pistol and three bullets. The incident took place at Mirera area.
According to the police, the three have been roaming the area conducting a wave of criminal activities.
According to the area chief Hussein Guyo, the gang engaged the police in a shoot out after defying police orders to stop forcing the police to react.
He said police acted after being tipped off by the public.
"Members of the public tipped police after spotting the suspicious vehicle. The officers acted fast and killed them," he was quoted by the star.
The police have also taken their driver in for questioning and their vehicle confiscated and are also keen to arrest a resident who they believe was working with the gang.
