Businessman Jimmy Wanjigi is now accusing Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet of ignoring the complaints he raised over his life being in danger.
Wanjigi, who fell out with Jubilee and decided to fund NSA campaigns, had asked Mr Boinnet a week ago to provide him with security which he (Wanjigi) would maintain using his own money.
He has now sought intervention of Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko whom he asked to compel an investigation into the threats against his life.
“To date, the IG has ignored and/or failed to respond to or acknowledge our said letter, despite the urgency called for,” Wanjigi said in a letter to Tobiko through his lawyer Elizabeth Karoki.
He took issue with DCI director Ndegwa Muhoro’s recent remarks quoted in a local daily where he dismissed the threats as false.
“We are therefore calling upon you to intervene and direct the IG to comprehensively investigate our client’s report as requested in our said letter,” he told the DPP.
