[Photo/Nairobi News]Police in Kiambu are holding a former Member of County Assembly in connection with the death of his ex-wife.Samuel Ndung'u, former Riruta Ward Representative, was arrested following the death of Lucy Njambi who was allegedly raped and doused with acid.Njambi, 24, succumbed to injuries on Friday morning at the Kenyatta National Hospital.According to neighbours, the mother of one was abducted by three people from her apartment at Thindigwa, along Kiambu Road on Wednesday night.She was later found abandoned without clothes at an isolated location along Kamiti Corner near Ruiru. Her uncle, Peter Njuguna, said Njambi moved out of her matrimonial home recently after quarrelling with her husband."Ndung'u paid the dowry to us in November last year. The two were in good terms at that time. We only learnt recently that they have separated," he said.The suspect was on Friday taken to Kiambu Law Courts where detectives requested for more time to continue detaining him in order to conduct investigations."We are holding Ndung'u to help us with investigations.
