Police in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu county are searching for 15 hardcore criminals who are suspected to be behind attacks in the region. Among the criminals are foreigners. According to Uasin Gishu county Commissioner Abdi Hassan who spoke on Tuesday during Jamhuri Day celebrations in the town, more than 300 criminal cases have been reported in the last three months.“Some of them took advantage of the election period to perpetrate serious crimes and cause fear among residents of Eldoret and other parts of Uasin Gishu," Hassan reported. He cautioned that crime will not be tolerated and assured the residents that security will be tight during the festive season.“If you are one of the criminals we are looking for, you better run away before we catch you. We will have no time for recording statements and interrogation. We will deal with you once and for all," the commissioner noted.
