Police in Eldoret has launched a manhunt for a suspect who allegedly killed his wife on Friday after a domestic quarrel.
The suspect identified as David Amukoa, 28, a father of two stabbed to death his wife Esther Achieng’ at their rented house in Kahoya estate accusing her of having an affair with another man.
Neighbors said the man separated with his wife towards the end of last year only his wife to return home early this month pregnant for another man.
“The man reunited with his wife early this month but when he realized the wife was pregnant for another man outside marriage he said he won’t withstand the shame the woman has brought to the family,” said Isaac Ng’eno.
Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga confirmed the incident and said the man went into hiding after he committed the crime.
"The suspect is at large but we are pursuing him. He will be arrested and taken to court to face murder charges,” said Mutunga.
Mutunga urged couples to involve local government officers, clerics, and elders to solve when they arise.
"Married couples should be faithful in marriage and in case of disagreement legal means should be used to solve the differences,” he added.
