“I knew he was a customer so I didn’t bother if he could steal from me. I went to the toilet to relieve myself only to come back and found the suspect had fled with meat,” he said.

A police officer from Birongo police station who requested for anonymity said it is a shame for the suspect to steal meat.

The officer said police are trailing the suspect who is an alcohol addict and he is a resident of Biticha sub-location is an alcohol addict.

“If the suspect had no money, he could have requested to be given meat on credit and pay later instead of stealing. Once he is arrested he will be taken to court to be charged with theft,” said the officer.
