According to Kiamokama chief Abraham Orure, the money was found abandoned at a feeder road.

“Residents informed me that they found the money abandoned in one of the feeder roads in the area which is not commonly used. We opened the luggage and found fake money,” he said.

Orure noted that he immediately alerted the police who have launched a manhunt to arrest the suspects.

“Money laundering is illegal and punishable by law. Members of the public should cooperate with police who have started investigations to know the people who abandoned the money,” said the chief.
