Nominated MP Oburu Odinga has said that the police are on a mission to hunt Cord supporters with their main target being Luo Nyanza.
Speaking during a press conference held at Parliament Buildings on Thursday, Oburu said the police were on a “hunting spree” to kill innocent protesters.
The MP who was accompanied by six ODM legislators displayed 31 bullet heads allegedly collected from various scenes of the Monday shootings.
The opposition lawmakers asked the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to immediately prosecute police who shot and killed 3 anti-IEBC protesters in Nyanza.
"IPOA has no justifiable reasons not to prosecute the police who went on a shooting spree on Monday as they can use video clips to identify the individuals involved, " said Oburu.
One person died in Kisumu city while two more lost their lives in Siaya during protests organised by Cord to forcefully evict the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commissioners (IEBC) officials out of office on Monday.
