Police have identified Shinyalu, Bungoma, and Busia towns as potential violence hot spots.
Western Regional Police Coordinator Moses Ombati has said the just-concluded party primaries assisted the police identify the regions.
Ombati noted that during the Ford Kenya and Jubilee primaries in Sirisia, security agencies impounded two vehicles carrying eight people armed with 'crude' weapons.He was speaking on Sunday at the Bukhungu stadium in Kakamega.
