Appearing before chief magistrate Francis Andayi, the suspect, Kennedy Mojong' pleaded guilty to the offence on Monday but later denied.

The court was to sentence him but the suspect said he wished to change the plea.

The court heard that the accused pretended to be a person employed as an AP No 95051258 and lived at Uhuru administration police camp from April, to September, 14.

He was arrested after other officers realised he was not one of them since his name never appeared on the duty schedule and never accompanied other officers to assignments.

Following the turn of events, the magistrate released the suspect on Sh100,000 cash bail.

The case will be heard on October, 30.
