A crackdown has been launched to wipe out criminals from their hideouts in Kisumu Ndogo, Langas ward.
Uasin Gishu county commissioner Abdi Hassan said the area is of concern as it harbors hardcore criminals.
He said drug peddling and sale of illicit brews is on the rise in the area.
"When residents in other area lose their goods, we retrieve them from Kisumu Ndogo. It means several criminals are hiding in the area and their days are numbered,'' he said.
Abdi noted that a team of police officers has been instructed to camp in the area to arrest any suspect believed to be among the gang to help arrest others.
He urged residents to work closely with police to wipe out the criminals.
"Members of the public should volunteer any information to the police that will lead to the arrest of the criminals to ensure the area is safe from terrorism", said Abdi.
