Police in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County on Wednesday recovered 43 transformers valued at Sh50 million.
Police said the transformers were stolen from Kenya Power.
The transformers were found hidden at Maili Nne estate within Uasin Gishu County.
Eldoret West police boss Samuel Mutunga confirmed the incident and said police acted following a successful tip off from members of the public.
"Seven of the devices were still intact while others had already been vandalised. We suspect the suspect stole them from power lines in different parts of the country," he said.
He said police managed to arrest two suspects who are in custody to help police in investigations.
"The suspects will be arraigned in court once we are done with the investigations," said Mutunga.
The police boss said they will liaise with Kenya Power to verify if the transformers are scrap or new.
