Police in Naivasha on Wednesday recovered bodies of two men who were brutally murdered and the corpses dumped along the Mai Mahiu-Narok road.
The bodies of the middle-aged men were found a few kilometers from Mai Mahiu town by members of the public who in turn informed the police.
Both of the victims had head injuries and it is suspected that they could have been murdered elsewhere and the bodies dumped in the area.
One of the witness, Joseph Njoroge said that the heads of the victims were crushed using a blunt object before been thrown off the road.
Njoroge said that the victims did not have any documents or cash adding the murder left area residents in shock and fear.
“Some area residents claim to have seen a white car drop the two bodies at around 3am before driving off in a huff towards Mai Mahiu town,” he said.
Njoroge added that this was not the first time that similar incidents had been reported in the area and called on police to fully investigate the matter.
Speaking to this writer, Naivasha OCPD Titus Munyoki said that the bodies had been collected and taken to the area mortuary awaiting identification.
