The National Police Service has issued an alert to motorists following the ongoing heavy downpour.
"CAUTION AND ADVISORY-14TH APRIL, 2018
Following heavy down pour in all parts of the country, the general population and more so motorists, are asked to be careful especially when approaching seasonal rivers.
More specifically motorists plying North Rift, North Eastern, Upper Eastern and some parts of lower Eastern.The following roads are prone to flooding, Garissa -Garsen, Kitale - Lodwar around Kainuk, Narok - Mai Mahiu road and Kericho - Kisumu route around Ahero.
More care should be observed following metrological department warnings that the country will experience more rainfall in the next three to four days.
Motorists are requested to heed to the advise of Metrological department."
