Police in Nairobi have killed three suspected muggers in an effort to clean the city of crime.
The three were suspected to be part of a mugging gang that has been terrorising traders and civilians.
Two of them are believed to be ringleaders and were gunned down at the Railways bridge near Technical University.
The other was gunned down at globe roundabout.
The incidents happened Tuesday afternoon.
Earlier, a police officer had shot and injured a pedestrian along Landhies Road as they tried to shoot at another group of suspected muggers.
This happens just two days after Nairobi governor announced the formation of an anti-mugging squad to fight criminals terrorising people in the CBD.
