Police in Nairobi have killed three suspected gangsters.

The three were cornered at the Kariobangi roundabout where an exchange of fire occurred.

Police involved in the operation said two guns, and a stolen car were recovered.

The Tuesday incident occurred after gangsters killed an officer in crime-prone Kayole slum.

They also robbed the fallen officer's rifle.
