Police in Wangige, Kiambu County on Sunday morning shot dead two suspected thugs in a botched robbery.

According to the Star, the deceased were in a group of four and had been attacking a residential plot when the alarm was raised.

Police said they rushed to the scene and a chase ensued before the two were killed. Part of the loot that had been stolen was also recovered.

The bodies were moved to city mortuary.
